35 Years of ESTIEM – Join the Celebration in Paderborn!

For 35 years, ESTIEM has built a strong network, connecting 78 universities across 26 countries and bringing together over 30,000 members. To mark this milestone, we’re gathering in Paderborn from Wednesday, June 25th, to Sunday, June 29th, 2025, for a celebration like no other!

A Look Back at ESTIEM’s Journey

With over 180 impactful events each year, ESTIEM has shaped unforgettable experiences—from local meetups to large international gatherings. The idea of ESTIEM was born in January 1990 during a WIFO seminar in Darmstadt, where participants from Darmstadt, Dresden, Graz, Helsinki, and Karlsruhe envisioned a network to enhance communication and cooperation among IEM students and graduates. Initially called EAIM (European Association of Industrial Management), the network evolved into ESTIEM, officially founded in November 1990 in Berlin. Since 1995, ESTIEM has been a registered student organization based in Eindhoven.

What’s in Store?

This once-in-a-lifetime celebration is packed with exciting activities you don’t want to miss! We’re focussing on the four main departments of ESTIEM, from which we’ll have at least one:

But now to the important question: where the hell is Paderborn and how do I get there?

Paderborn is a city in the east of North Rhine-Westphalia, close to larger cities such as Bielefeld, Hanover and Dortmund. 

If you have to fly, you have several options. You can easily take a train/bus from the various airports

Some useful information: 

Ryanair calls Weeze Airport (NRN) ‘Düsseldorf/Weeze’, but it is not close to Düsseldorf!
